Costs

RUCIP - Rules & Practices of the Inter-European Trade in Potatoes

Costs (from 1 October 2025)

1. Fee & hourly rate:

  • € 300 
  • + € 50 per hour (including travelling hours; max € 500 per day)

2. Food allowance:

  • € 50 per meal (max 2 meals per day)

3. Accomodation:

  • € 200 per night

4. Travel expenses:

  • by train: first class (reimbursed according to bills)
  • by airplane: economy class (reimbursed according to bills)
  • by car: € 0,75 per km

5. Assessment office fee & Withdrawal fee

  • € 330 (including 10% for RUCIP European Committee)
  • In case of withdrawn of a formal demand of expertise (once the RUCIP Annex for Expertise has been sent and signed), no reimbursement will be done.

1. Fee (pro rata of the value of the claim):

For cases of more than € 500.000, an arbitrator fee of minimum € 2.000 will be decided by the RUCIP Secretariat in charge of the case. 

RUCIP Secretariats are also allowed to increase the fees for arbitrators on a case by case basis

 

2. Food allowance:

5. Withdrawal fee

  • After sending the dossier to arbitrators and before the meeting of the Arbitration Commission: 75% of the arbitrator fee + expenses

Arbitration 1st degree

1. Secretariat fee (pro rata of the value of the claim):

  • Less than € 10.000: € 800 (including 10% for RUCIP European Committee)
  • € 10.000 – 25.000: € 1.200 (including 10% for RUCIP European Committee)
  • € 25.000 – 50.000: €2.000 (including 10% for RUCIP European Committee)
  • € 25.000 and above: National Secretariats are allowed to decide on the fee with a minimum fee of € 2.000 and a maximum of € 30.000

2. Expenses of the competent Secretariat (postal fees, award translation, room rental for the hearing, other costs, etc.)

3. Arbitrators fees and expenses 

 

Arbitration 2nd degree:

1. The Secretariat fee of the 1st degree is doubled, 50% is paid to the RUCIP European Committee:

  • Less than € 10.000: € 1.600
  • € 10.000 – 25.000: € 2.400
  • € 25.000 – 50.000: €4.000
  • € 25.000 and above: Fee used in the 1st degree doubled, with a minimum fee of € 4.000 and a maximum of € 60.000

2. Expenses of the competent Secretariat (postal fees, award translation, room rental for the hearing, other costs, etc.)

3. Arbitrators fees and expenses 

Withdrawal (both for 1st and 2nd degree cases):

– Before selection of arbitrators: 25% of the Secretariat fee + expenses
– After sending the dossier to arbitrators and before the meeting of the Arbitration Commission: 75% of the Secretariat fee + expenses
